 ABOUT VRex,
Inc.
VRex, Inc,
is a leading pioneer and manufacturer of 3D stereoscopic imaging
solutions for the CAD/CAM/CAE and GIS engineering markets.
Whether it is an airplane, automobile or any of their thousands
of parts, the need to quickly communicate information visually makes
the presentation of this information critical during the design and
engineering phases. VRex's 3D stereo
display solutions produce more accurate presentations for more
efficient collaboration, ultimately reducing the time to market, a
frequent mantra in today's manufacturing
In the oil and gas industries, GIS software is critical in tying
in numerous spatial data into a complex map. Our 3D stereo vastly
improves the visual accuracy of this immense amount of data, saving
time and money, where it counts most, in the field. COMPANY STRATEGY
Our strategy is simple. To provide affordable, compatible, easy
to use solutions which meet the high visualization standards of the
engineering market. Our mission is to expand the use of 3D
stereoscopic technology in this market, so every engineer can
experience the major benefits of visualizing 3D models or spatial
data in stereo. We are achieving this by providing cost effective,
high-quality visualization solutions. Solutions that provide
indispensable value and improvements to every aspect of the
development process, including: collaborating on designs with
colleagues, obtaining internal design approvals, as well as
presenting final plans to outside clients. COMPANY TECHNOLOGY
VRex,
Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Reveo, Inc. was started in 1993 by
Dr. Sadeg Faris, and. owns an
impressive portfolio of intellectual property, with over 20 U.S.
patents and numerous U.S. patent applications filed.
VRex's
revolutionary patented µPol™ (pronounced micropol) technology, has
led the way to affordable high-quality stereoscopic viewing.
Products include affordable 3D stereo projection systems, 3D format
converter boxes, shutter glasses for CRT monitors, and a 3D
after-market µPol converter kit for notebook computers and flat
panel displays. VRex also has a
line of proprietary software enabling people to develop their own 3D
stereo content.
VRex's 3D
stereoscopic viewing solutions are compatible with most CAD/CAM/CAE
and GIS software. Today, most software is stereo-enabled, allowing
designers and engineers to output their 3D model or 3D spatial map
stereoscopically. Our solutions allow, for example, a CAD model
rendered out in stereoscopic 3D to be sent to a projection system
for small-or medium-sized groups. Unlike expensive 3D visualization
systems, VRex
solutions cost thousands of dollars less than the previous
technology, while being conveniently portable and providing
high-quality resolution and brightness.
Other VRex
viewing solutions allow a designer or engineer to view the image on
their desktop in 3D stereo to check for accuracy during the
development process and then easily go back to working in their
traditional viewing mode. With the revolution of collaborative
product life management software and VRex's 3D
Internet software, it is now possible to share designs in stereo on
the Internet.
3D stereo is extremely valuable because it enhances visualization
by providing the added cues of depth not seen in a non-stereo 3D
model. Ultimately, this improved visual accuracy translates into
time and money saved by avoiding costly mistakes and reducing time
to market. CUSTOMERS
For almost ten years, VRex has
provided 3D Stereo solutions to organizations as large as General
Electric, General Motors, Abbott Labs, IBM, Exxon, Department of
Energy, and Daimler-Chrysler. For an additional list of customers,
