Toys & Games Case Study
Proposition: A Toy manufacturer is interested in
developing an in-store merchandising display to launch
a new building block toy. The goal is to attract attention,
build excitement, and generate sales of the new toy.
Solution: VRex Productions develops a creative
3D CD ROM showing examples of how a child can build
numerous models with the building block toy. The CD
ROM is then displayed through an interactive 3D Kiosk
in store. The 3D Kiosk is equipped with the VR Visualizer
viewing glasses and a touch screen, allowing children to
see the toy leap from the screen.
Results: The 3D Kiosk and the glasses alone
attract attention, driving traffic into he retail
store and building interest in the toy. Children
are then thrilled, seeing in 3D the potential of
what they can build with the toy blocks. Children
are engaged and excited and the product flies off
the shelf.
* Please note
this is a hypothetical case study and only an example
of how 3D technology can be used in this industry.
